Another one of my gorgeous 2011 couples! These two were  so much fun to hang out with! These are a few of my favorites from their engagement session at Vanderveer Park in Davenport.

Now that things have slowed down a bit, I’m hoping to catch up on blogging so expect a ton of posts from the summer!

And now for something sweet…

September 23, 2011

As I’ve mentioned in some of my previous posts, I have fallen behind on blogging this year. Most of my couples have been getting their initial previews via my facebook page, you can check it out here, to see my recent weddings and shoots. I took these sweet shots of Kristin & John way back in May and I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding  tomorrow!!! Whitey’s Ice Cream was a big part of their love story so we had to incorporate it into the photos.  We actually got to go inside the plant in Moline for photos, which was a lot of fun, and got me one of my favorite photos of the year (directly below)!  We finished up the session with ice cream, yummy!!!

Amber & Rob E-Session

August 7, 2011

We had so much fun shooting Amber & Rob’s engagement session down in Muscatine! We don’t often get to shoot engagement sessions out of town, and Muscatine has some great spots to shoot at, not to mention getting to take pictures in a bowling alley!

We also got some cute shots of their adorable little dog, Dolce.

They might have a bit of a baseball rivalry going on!

Caitlin & William were kind enough to brave the awful heat to come out and shoot with me and Cory on Sunday! I’m pretty sure we all managed to sweat off a few pounds! Despite the heat, I think we all had fun and got some great pictures out of it. The next time we get them in front of the lens it will be much cooler, they’re having a January wedding!

The image above was shot by Cory and I think the light was just stunning! He’s come along really far with his photography and it’s so great having him with me on these shoots!

Here are a few more preview images

Family Fun!

April 8, 2011

I don’t offer portrait sessions any longer as I feel I’m best suited for weddings. However, I do occasionally do some portraits for friends and family. I’ve known Molly for a couple of years now, and she is one amazing mama with some adorable kiddos. I got to take some pictures of her and her family way back in August. These were a few of my favorites! 🙂

Way, way back in September Cory & I got the chance to go out & shoot senior portraits for my youngest “sister.” OK, so she’s my youngest sister’s best friend, but she’s part of the family, and she’s sweet, gorgeous and hilarious! Here’s a few of my favorites from her session.

Katie, your a good sport, cause there’s no way I would have picked that caution tape up.  Never listen to Cory. 🙂

It was kind of cool getting to do some after dark shots, we used our car’s headlights for the picture above.

I probably say this way too often, but I’m pretty behind on posting.  I’ve been doing a lot of my previews on facebook lately, so as soon as the season winds down I’ll be posting more of those here.

These two are a few months shy of their first anniversary! They’re relatively new to the quad-city area.  Sunday we had fun catching a few pictures of this adorable couple in the The Village of East Davenport, quickly becoming one of my favorite spots to shoot.

Here are some of my favorites so far.

This will be another short one, I have so much to catch up on. Cory & I just got back from Las Vegas for a much needed vacation celebrating our 10 year anniversary. We had a blast & I have so many pictures to share. I also still have more to share from Crystal & Nate’s E-session a few weeks ago, so look out for those. For now I thought I’d share the first few picks from Jessica & Lance’s engagement shoot yesterday. I’m so happy the rain stopped for these, we’ve had some bad luck with rain the last few weeks. I hope we’re done with it.

Cory took the adorable shot above, they look so cute together!

Here’s the whole crew!  These two sure made some adorable little guys! Can’t wait to see them all dressed up for the wedding in July!

Just a quick preview before I head to bed.  I want to thank Crystal & Nate for being so good humored today!
Thanks to my good friend &  photographer Shannon Colgan from Shaze Impressions for helping me out!

More to come
